Farrah L. Donaldson is a native of Florida and an accomplished African American author dedicated to empowering young readers through meaningful stories and imaginative play. Specializing in books for children ages 3-7, Farrah L. Donaldson centers his work on an endearing black male character inspired by his own childhood experiences fostering representation and cultural pride for his young audience.

While embarking on his journey as an author, Mr. Donaldson holds a bachelor’s degree in English with a master’s degree in special education. Currently, he is a special education teacher with a specialization in high school English and Social Sciences. His experience in the classroom continues to shape his passion for education and storytelling. He combines his experience and his expertise as an educator with his talent for storytelling to craft engaging narratives that resonate with childhood readers.

In addition to his book series, “What Will LaRay Do today?”, he incorporates his unique puppets to enhance his storytelling creating interactive experiences that captivate young minds. Mr. Donaldson’s mission is to inspire curiosity, self-esteem, and a lifelong love of reading among children from diverse backgrounds.

Mr. Donaldson continues to write with the vision of nurturing a generation of confident, compassionate and culturally aware young readers. He is on a mission to put imagination back into literacy.
